Description
Remember Woods Beryl Ware, that distinctive green utility crockery popular during four decades after its introduction in the 1940’s? The rings on the plates give a timeless art deco feel. Enjoy eating off this retro style icon. OK, Panache itself doesn’t go that far back, but we haven’t upgraded anything except the vinyl flooring and the roof insulation. Even the pink plastic shower and wash basin are original – and quirky.
The large sitting room makes Panache an ideal centre for a small church or team-building retreat as it can seat around a dozen people for fellowship.
Note: you can make a group booking by adding other accommodation by clicking here. All rooms and statics open in a new tab so you can compare availability and book quickly.
Please take a look at the Grey Alders Farm Shop here on site stocked with our own super-aged beef and mutton, top Welsh products, tinned and dry everyday essentials for you to put a stunning meal together, soft drinks, local beers, decent wines and our very own 6% ‘Tafod Teilo’ farm cider. (Grey Alders is fully licensed.) We also bake organic white and wholemeal bread here on site so you can order that in advance and enjoy it freshly-baked. Just buy your vegetables on the way in.

Shower a bit rough and very little gas coming through for cooking. Otherwise very comfortable and amazing for the price. It was good to come and very good to meet you.

Thanks for your review, Caroline. Yes, we do say the shower is a bit challenging! But it works … As for gas pressure, it’s all tested OK but the burners are obviously mobile-home size and not like your state-of-the-art cooker at home! Thanks for your kind comments on our pricing and hospitality.

A delightful place for a holiday. Lovely views with sheep and cows with character. The quietness also allowed the peace and tranquility of Grey Alders to give us the rest we needed. Meals are superb. Also appreciated getting to know Steve and Judy and meeting other guests. An amazing place in the middle of remote countryside.

We spent 5 lovely relaxing and refreshing days at Grey Alders and brought back the most delicious beef we’ve ever tasted, and some tasty mutton, which we’d never tried before.

Our time there was just what we needed, time away in the beautiful countryside to rest. Our hosts were lovely.
